The first and most crucial step is to duplicate the template into your own Notion workspace.
Open the link to the template. It will usually be a public Notion page.
In the top right corner of the page, you'll see a "Duplicate" button. Click on it.
A pop-up window will ask you to select the workspace where you want to add the template. Choose your workspace from the dropdown list.
Notion will automatically create a copy of the template in your selected workspace. You will be redirected to your new copy of the template.
Now that the template is in your workspace, it's time to make it feel like home.
By default, the duplicated template will be named "Copy of [Original Template Name]." Click on the title at the top of the page to rename it to something more descriptive and personal, like "My Personal Dashboard" or "2025 Goal Tracker."
You can also move the page to a specific location within your Notion setup. Drag and drop the page from your sidebar to a database or a parent page where you want it to reside.
